Cleaning Out Your Pantry 101 Workshop and Discussion
If you have been putting off getting your kids on a healthier diet, if you suspect or know your child has a food sensitivity or allergy, or if you are just plain confused about what is the best food for your children, this is the workshop for you. In this workshop, parents will have the opportunity to discuss roadblocks to researching and buying the “right” foods, be given solid information about organics, preservatives, and allergens, and be able to walk away with clear and easy steps to get started.
Presented by Jen Maidenberg, Founder & Consultant, Mindful Living NJ, a mom who has gone through the process first-hand and consults with parents in the area of alternative health and nutrition, and Dr. Jodie Dawson, Psy.D., CPCC, Director, The Alchemy Foundation for Children and Families, who coaches and consults with parents and families on parenting and family issues impacting the health of their children.

Detox Your Home!: A workshop and roundtable discussion
Many of us grew up associating "clean" with a harsh chemical smell found in most household cleaners. Did you know that while those cleaning agents might be ridding your home of bacteria (both good and bad), that chemical "clean" smell is poisoning you and your children? Often times exacerbating asthma and allergies or creating sensitivities where there were none before? There are ways to successfully clean your home in a less toxic, greener way using earth-friendly products or DIY cleaning agents.
In this workshop, you will learn more about the hidden toxins inside your home and ways to eliminate them. Learn to tell the difference between harmful and safer plastics in your children's toys and kitchen products. Figure out what to avoid when searching for the safest skin care and bath products for you and your children. You are not helpless. There are simple ways to make positive changes to eliminate these toxins once and for all.
